Social Media Coordinator - Job Posting

BeauGen is seeking an enthusiastic Social Media Coordinator.  This is a part-time consulting/freelancing role, approximately 8-10 hours per week, and can be done flexibly from home anywhere in the U.S.  This role is available immediately, with a target start date of Monday, August 3, 2020.

BeauGen is a company built by moms for moms. We strive to offer a supportive and comfortable experience for customers to learn, troubleshoot, and optimize their pumping experience with our product.

Why is the Social Media Coordinator critical to our work? We believe strongly in our products and we want to increase our brand recognition. Having a strong social media strategy that speaks to our target audiences will better ensure that current & potential new users, as well as partners/affiliates have a clear idea about who we are, what we do, and how our products benefit them.  Moms have been relying more on their social networks for support in their mommying journey. We want moms to not only know about our product to try, use, and share with their friends and family, but we also want moms to feel a deep connection with our brand through the messages we share.

The Social Media Coordinator:

  • Helps the Marketing Manager to manage BeauGen’s Instagram & Facebook accounts.
    • Executes social media posting strategy that includes:
      • Posting daily Instagram and Facebook stories 
      • Posting Instagram and Facebook feed posts at least 5x per week 
      • Posting on IGTV, following the content calendar
    • Creates graphics, memes, and other marketing assets with relevant mom and BeauGen content
    • Sources content from other mom pages for reposts
    • Moderates and responds to comments
      • Loops in appropriate team member to help respond, where applicable
    • Engages with, and comments on, relevant pages and topics
  • Researches hashtags
  • Helps Marketing Manager to manage “BeauGen Mom Community” private Facebook group
    • Creates and sources posts to promote engagement
    • Moderates members’ posts and responds to comments 
      • Loops in appropriate team member to help respond, where applicable
  • Creates and sends content for broadcasts according to events and the content calendar:
    • SMS text broadcasts
    • Bi-weekly affirmation SMS texts
    • Facebook Messenger broadcasts

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Social media management expertise (required)
  • Impeccable attention to detail in copy-writing, visual intelligence, and customer service
  • Cultural and social awareness, ensuring all content is inclusive, culturally sensitive, and relevant to current national and world events
  • SEO knowledge (preferred)
  • Access to reliable Internet, email, Google Drive, Facebook, Instagram, Slack and Asana via computer
  • A passion for supporting breastfeeding and pumping moms
