Helping Moms Through Their Pumping Journey

Helping moms who breast pump

Tu-Hien Le, Founder and CEO of BeauGen Shares with Moms Like You

From one mom to another, I can truly say I empathize.

I empathize with the emotional, physical, and mental challenges of becoming a new mom. Sometimes there’s an overwhelming feeling of love but also fear and worry, especially when it comes to feeding your child.

Am I doing this right? What if I’m not good enough?

Well I can say you are not the only one who feels this. And to help make being a mom a little easier, I truly believe I can help.

While I was pregnant, I never really gave much thought to nursing let alone pumping. I always had the mindset that if women have been doing this since the beginning of time, then surely I could figure it out too. In fact with an overload of information from Google, mobile baby apps, and mommy blogs breastfeeding should be a piece of cake. Boy was I wrong!

After a 20 hour-long delivery, I was overtaken with love, joy, exhaustion, and relief. But now it was time to breastfeed.

OK, how exactly does this work?

How do I hold the baby?

How do I know if it’s working?

These are all the same questions every mom asks when breastfeeding for the first time.

My little baby didn’t take to the breast as seamlessly as I had imagined. In fact, it was a few days of failure and tears before I decided to exclusively pump. I was worried and heartbroken my body was failing me. After all my body was built to provide my daughter what she needed. My struggle later became the inspiration behind BeauGen’s breast pump cushions. The soft and stretchy breast pump cushion is designed to protect the mom’s sensitive skin from friction against the hard plastic flange and make pumping more comfortable.

You're Doing a Good Job!

All moms want to give their baby the best of themselves leaving no stone unturned to do what they need to do for the well-being of their baby. All moms do the best they can yet are probably the hardest on them selves. Being a mom is a tough job but it is the best job. I empathize with these feelings and truly believe BeauGen can help moms through this challenging period.

When nursing is not feasible, pumping is a necessity. Unfortunately, the breast pump is not the most natural contraption for the woman’s body. I have heard hundreds of times from women who quit pumping simply because it hurt. Moms already go through a lot, that’s why I wanted to provide a simple mom-invented tool to help women have a significantly better pumping experience.

Every mom and situation is different, but at least we can support one another. I wanted to bring our breast pump cushion to moms who may be on the brink of quitting or who may be suffering unnecessarily through pumping pains. I know a mom’s love for her child is deep and infinite. I realize this with every day that passes with my daughter and I understand that women will do anything for their baby. If I could even make a small difference to a mom’s pumping experience, I have succeeded.

To all moms- you are amazing, beautiful, and strong women. Your endless love and kindness passed down through your actions to your children will continue to make the world a better place.
